As part of Child Rights Week Celebrations, the program was organized at Lorry Shed area in Gnanapuram. The program was started at 5.30 p.m with the welcome speech by Fr. Balashowry, the director, Navajeevan. He specified that the children have got the rights like Right to life, Right to protection, Right to participation, Right to development and the parents are supposed to protect these rights of the children by giving opportunities to the children.Later, Mr. Ramulu, the community President recollected that how the children were leading their life before Navajeevan and after coming of the Navajeevan. He said the before Navajeevan the children were roaming on the roads and leading a undisciplined life. But now with the help of the Navajeevan the children are well dressed and leading a disciplined life and going to school. He appreciated the services of the Navajeevan and requested Navajeevan to continue their services for the good of the children in the slum areas.Later the chief guests and Navajeevan director and staff released the poster prepared on the International child rights day displaying the child rights. Later the gifts were given away to the winners of the games conducted by Navajeevan.
