Inauguration of fresh batch of students

The young and fledging Bosco Tech in Sabbavaram mondal, Devipuram (Village), Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh today opened its doors to a fresh batch of Business Process outsourcing (BPO) students. This is the second batch of students at Bosco Tech, Devipura, after the institute having commenced operations only in the month of May 2014. The students were welcomed by the director of the institute, Fr. Thomas Thottiyil SDB.

The Chief Guest at the event was Sr. Annie (The Provincial of MMM), Sr. Valasamma (The Vice-Provincial of MMM) and Ms. Amala were around to grace the occasion.

The proceedings for the day started with the new students taking a pledge of conduct, value and dignity, both personal and those of the institution. This was followed by the welcoming of the guests with bouquets accompanied by a welcome song by the students.  

Fr. Thomas Thottiyil, speaking on the occasion talked of the importance of Bosco Tech in empowering the youth. He cited the examples of Don Bosco and few actors like Sharukhan who used to borrow Rs.20 every day to appear for auditions, has become a famous actor now. Amitabh Bachan who failed in the audition test conducted by All India Radio never gave up. After many falls and failures and over the years he has not only grown bigger and more iconic with each passing year but he has become an institution that is inseparable from the lore of Indian cinema. Now Amitabh enjoys the waves of the popularity. Fr. Thomas advised the students to invest their hard work in order to climb the ladder of success and Bosco Tech provides ample opportunities for that.   

Sr. Annie (The Provincial of MMM), officially cut the ribbon and inaugurated fresh batch. She then advised the students to develop full potential and energy. She challenged the students to welcome failure into your lives. It's how we grow. What matters is not that you failed, but that you recovered. Sr. Annie expressed her great happiness seeing many young boys and girls in Bosco Tech premises. She concluded her short speech by appreciating the Don Bosco staff and management for their commendable work.

Vennela and Vijaya Laxmi students of BPO beautifully summarized the work of Bosco Tech in the form a song and underlined the present education system wherein education is not available to poor who can’t pay thousands of rupees. But expressed their joy and appreciated Don Bosco organization for providing free skill training for their better future.

The program was concluded by distribution of sweets and fruits.
