We believe in the adage ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’. Physical exercise keeps the body fit and trim thus ensuring the body fit and a healthy mind. Keeping this in mind, a School level Volleyball tournament called "Don Bosco Volleyball Cup" was held at Don Bosco Sabbavaram, on the eve of Don Bosco’s feast 30th January 2014. The Director Fr. Thomas Thottiyil, welcomed the gathering and delivered his inaugural speech. In his inaugural address he exhorted the students/players to grow as tough and responsible citizens of our country; for the honor of their schools and for the glory of sports. The chief guest Mr. Gandi Ravi lighted the lamp together with other invited guests. After the inaugural gathering the competitions began with no delay.

As many as 08 teams were in the fray for the top honors. ZPH School Lankelapalem, outplayed the Mother Public School Sabbavaram, in the final to lift the Don Bosco Volley Ball Cup 2014.

The Sub-inspector of Police (Sabbavaram), Sri. Surya Prakash Rao, presided over the prize distribution function and congratulated all the participants. As for the students and the staff this was very wonderful sports fiesta which taught them a lot of lessons of mutual co-operation, sportsman spirit, endurance etc. The students dispersed after the national anthem. We thank all the participants, our donors of the day and the organizing committee.
